[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello everyone, today I present to you these rather scruffy flowers.
Although they have an untidy appearance, they nevertheless offered a bright display to the gardens at Saltram House.

I had never seen yellow Red Hot Pokers before, but on researching some information for you, I discovered that they can also be orange as well as the usual red.
[latin name ----kniphofia uvaria.]

Thanks for looking.

Sorry but I didn't keep a record of PP this time.

Excellent image of this landscape that suited us.
I love how you made it and played it.
Very beautiful colors.

Hi Jean
I like this composition and the image is sharp from front to back. I have never seen this yellow variety either. TFS.

Hi Jean,

Beautiful macro capture of the series of yellow beauties! Green and Yellow make this picture so adorable and cheerful. I like the sharpness and POV in the picture with nice use of the shallow DOF. The colors are perfectly natural with nice use of the daylight.

Thanks for posting.

regards,
Paras

PS: I am sorry, as I have consumed my daily point limit for today, otherwise I'd love to award smileys for this nice work :(

dear Jean,
a strange but beautiful picture of amazing figures of flowers,
it is not scruffy, in my feeling...like southern jungle of yellow trees.
maybe it is so dense, that we feel a little scruffy.
those show us very unique shape and colors, and your capturing is nice to present its original and vivid yellow figure.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hello Jean,

The tall upright stance of these flowers, which are all perfectly focussed, makes an interesting composition. There is a lovely contrast of textures whilst the green of the foliage makes a good b/g.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

hello Jean,
I like this tight cropped bright and cheerful posting. I'm a sucker for big perennials as well. The yellow of the kniphofia is really nice and I think I would have preferred to see them displayed with a plain frame rather than the competing lime-yellow.Nice textural quality tothis too.
best regards,
Bev
