[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an island called Thatchers rock in Torquay. When i took this picture i new exactly what i was looking for, trouble is i don't think i've quite succeded. I wanted to capture the island and the trees in the forground as they were an interesting shape but i could not get them in. I have since orderd a wide angled lens so will try again. I was also not happy with the colours but it was a very overcast day and the sun that there was happend to be in completely the wrong place.

Hello Codge, very impressive shot, the mountain seems to wear a hat! :-) Well composed with a good technique. Not sure about the frame though (the rock of the mountain + the marble of the frame) but a good contribution nonetheless! Well done, thanks!

Hi Codge, welcome to TL.
I like the idea and I can see what you were trying to do, but the washed out sky spoils it for me. All too many of my photos suffer from this too; I'm intending to buy some graduated filters to try and stop it happening. I like the composition and the colours in the main subject.
