Darks clouds over Exeter

This picture cheets you! There were no dark clouds at all, nice fluffy onces against a blue sky, but the backlight foold you (and me :-)

Here the view from the Rougemont gardens in the centre of the city overviewing the south west. Clearly visible the impresssive monument for whom fall during the both World Wars.

Used CP filter.

PP work: Used jpeg image due restricted CS3 edition on my laptop :-(
Slight adjustment of levels and curves, the image itself was almost black and white but desaturated it totally. Adjusted brightness and contrast. Used unsharpen mask (Amount: 200%, radius 1 pixel) before resizen it to TL size. Used unsharpen mask again, this time using a amount of 100% with a radius of 0,3 pixel. Add small white frame.

Hi Hans,
A nice effect of a dramatic sky presented to us in B&W. I must admit that it fits!
Nice contrast in the clouds, yet sticking to glorious grey tones.
Beautiful silhouettes of monuments and trees.
A wonderful composition, very eye-catching and artistic.
Well done.
Regards,

Francis Xavier

Hans
Wonderful capture!
Great light, details and the cloud is fantastic!
Horia

Super BW conversion. Composition is appealing, very dynamic. Thanks for sharing!

Hallo Hans.

groet,
Joop!

I like the strong contrasts and the heavy textures here.
It has a dark brooding tone that makes me really meditative.
This is not the threatening malicious brooding of voodoo, but that of nature about to break :)
Thanks
Silke

Hello Hans,

Excellent black and white shot of this dramatic sky and silhouettes in the foreground.
Great lightness and PP work.

Best regards,
Tatjana
