This sight should be familiar to you. I have shot this ruined pier at Brighton from many angles and in all lights. This shot was taken at dusk. I liked the colour tones in the sky and water. I did wonder about doing this as a HDR image to bring more detail into the frame of the ruined pier but decided to leave it as a single exposure. The strange line in the sky is a flock of starlings. I couldn't get a shot without them.

Taken with the Sigma 10-20 mm

Familiar sight and familiar site, of course from your posts. Another nice angle.

Hi Karan,
A fine composition, the black silhouettes of the construction are great and so are the colours. One remark though the image gives the impression it's a tad tilted, the horizon isn't fully level. Nevertheless a fine posting my dear.

I guess this pier was never a hazard to shipping in the past
when it was whole,so it would not be one now,so it is left as a reminder & as a fond memory of a time gone bye.
I like the colours capture in this image, the soft reflection
of the pink sky in the water has a nice softness to it & the POV is excellant to show off the two parts seperated from
each another.TFS Karan.

nice image great colours

Dark shades of violet and blues...they become you! And your eye in the bio karan...and it adds a bit of "stuff" to your love of hedge hogs and all that....I feel as though you are a sprite....very much so if I am not mistaken...

Beautiful light, colors and composition!!

Hello Karan,
Lovely colours as red is fading into blue and later into darkness!
I like this point of view, bringing the outer part closer in space to the inner part, adds more dynamics to composition...
Sharp fine details and the small red light is an eye-catcher!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Very well done!

I like the mood in this picture. Nice colours and interesting forms. Once again well handled, (exposure and colours rendition). Very pleasing to look at...i really don't mind the blur caused by the bird...if i wouldn't know, i would thing that is just a dark cloud.
