[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The banks of the river Severn have burst again, following heavy rain.

Though not as serious as the floods of July 2007, it has caused roads to become impassable, and some disruption to normal life.

Shot in RAW - 1/400sec f 8 ISO 400

Focal length 98mm [35mm equivalent]

Converted with Fuji Hyper Utility 2 software.

Final PP adjustments in PS Elements 1, and FastStone Image viewer.

Well spotted Peter; next time I'm down your way in a boat, I'll know where to park up :)

Hello, Peter.

Were it not for the human suffering and the damage to property and the loss of crops, this would be a very amusing snapshot.

However, whichever way one looks at it, it is a great shot for the records. Not only that, the picture is well-exposed, sharp and detailed and I suppose the lovely warm sunlit-trees in the background give a nice comforting feeling of hope that, for those affected people, life will get better.

Very good, Peter.

Kind Regards,

John.
