[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this shot in my kitchen of all places. I was experimenting with off-camera flash and this poor tulip was shot from just about every angle.

In the end this was by far my favourite shot. The flash was being held above the flower, no more than 3 inches away and I had manually set it to 135mm zoom to try and avoid spilling too much light. It worked (probably more through fluke than anything!) and I got the shot I was after.

I also used this shot to learn a bit about the relationship between aperture and shutter speed where flash photography is concerned. The background to this shot was actually a piece of white card but by controlling the flash and underexposing the ambient light I got to this.

Enjoy!

La tige de cette fleur (magnifique) n'est pas assez visible et il aurait fallut un cadrage symétrique. Dommage... A par cela techniquement c'est ok

Hi Kristian,
First welcome to the Treklens family. Wow what a fantastic picture for your first post. You have captured this so well, good use of flash to capture the beautiful colours of this tulip to perfection.
