Another flower shot! I took this when testing out my new Sigma 70mm Macro lens. I took a number of shots (including some macro ones!) but this was my favourite. I know its an unusual crop, but I think it works pretty well - you may or may not agree with me!

The original crop was slightly tighter but I extended the canvas because I thought it increased the impact of the image, again - you may or may not agree!

Anyway - enjoy!

Kristian

Hi Kristian,
Another great shot, I like you compostion and crop showing the stamens of this lovely lily. Nice and sharp and good colouring.

Hello Kristian, the shot is quite striking with the sharp contrast between the white petals and the black bg.It is an unusual macro shot of a flower and I like it a lot, well done.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hello Kris,
A very striking composition of this macro. Placing the lily off centre like this adds lots of drama and tension.
Superb colour, detail and sharpness.
The stamens are a real feature.
That new macro lens is in good hands.
Regards, Joni
