Nice filter work. Good color and detail. Being able to see that they are chained together and been left untended for some time aids the feeling of abaondonment. Nice work.
Nice and tight in the frame. No wasted space. Polarizer has worked well. I like the way the small yellow line in frame echoes the mooring bouys. We just had HMS Grafton visit Ipswich for the last time (Ipswich's adopted ship) she has been sold to the Chilean navy. security was so tight they wouldn.t even let you on to the dockside to photograph yet on previous visits we were allowed on board. No doubt they were afraid of souvinier hunters!

Well ,
My friend , you knew I could not resist on this one. First thank you for the informative note. Tight framing is working well here to appreciate fully the size and view of these old veterans.
These were not cruise ships. Imagining 1280 people living in these floating bunkers, it must be pretty smelly a times... (^_^)as I am sure the use of showers and FW was quite limited during the war.
Thanks for this very sharp and colorful image.

Hi Michael,
You have a fantastic gallery. I grew up in Portsmouth (my Dad was in the Navy), so I spent most saturdays as a kid with him down at the docks running around on Carriers, Victory etc. We also spent a lot of time in the surrounding areas so your gallery is a real trip down memory lane for me. Great shot you have here, nice perspective, excellent detail, very well captured.
Cheers,
Adrian
