[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Woke up early and as much as I tried could not get back to sleep. Looked outside and saw it was a frosty, misty start to the day. Decided to go out for a ride on my bicycle with the camera. The sun was just above the horizon and it had started to burn off the mist. Portsmouth is an Island so the sea is never far away. I headed for the Northern reaches of Portsmouth Harbour, plenty of cycle ways and usually some photographic opportunities. On the way I passed some playing fields and took this shot, as I was in the process of doing so the mist was fading fast. The sun was still a red ball, low in the sky and this colour can be seen reflected in the remaining mist.

exquisite, very fine image and feeling. on my taste, I would say. thanks

Impressive mist indeed, it looks amazing so low on the ground. A beautiful capture of the trees' silhouettes against the morning sky here, too.
As much as the red hues represent the way the light was when you took this shot, I've taken the chance to make a workshop offering an alternative - I'd love to know what you think.

Beautiful capture with harmonious colours. I like the effect of the trees that seem to be floating above the mist. You cycled to right place at the right time. As you said: mist can fade fast...
