[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was taken in Old Portsmouth at Sallyport, also known as the hotwalls. The hotwalls were famous in past times for courting couples. The hotwalls are really, the old sea defences of Portsmouth, which have arches overlooking the sea. I spotted these elderly people in silhouette against the sea and have just played with the picture.
I wonder if they were reliving past times.
I have changed the lighting to enhance the silhouette effect, added a frame and gone mad in centre by replacing the colours.

It may not be everyones taste. My first impression was you took this silhouettes against a pop-art-wall. I spontaneously liked the colors, but i was a little bit disappointed reading that they are artificial.
Any way i like them and how you selected the frame.
Thanks for sharing.

This is really a creative piec of work here, first I thought it was a group Orthodox Jews standing under an arch in Israel.
Great shot with excellent PP, well done.

I really like the silhouettes against the colorful backdrop you've created. They look like they are stepping in (or stepping out of) another dimension. Being a fan of H.P. Lovecraft, the connection with Portsmouth also adds to the atmosphere.

The colors/pattern are a bit much for me, but other than that, I love the image.

Good work. I like the effect on it. It looks like mysterious people coming down.
Well done.

As gerbil my first impression was silhouttes against a coloured wall.... and I liked it....
but when I read your note.... I liked the shot more.... because I appreciated your creativity.

Great fun: I like the colours whether artificial or not:-)

Michael, nice experiment, it looks like the 3 old people are heading a door to a new world, which is colorful, TFS
