[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Jasper a 3 week old Appaloosa colt foal, he is just so picture perfect, you cant see his beautiful colours in this picture but he has a lovely white patched bottom. He was very apprehensive when I walked into the field so I got down onto my knees and let him come to me, he started to smell me so I blew up his nose, some horses like this and will relax, Japser did and he started to blow back. When I got up he reversed up onto me and wanted me to scratch his bottom.
The guy that owns the Appaloosa horses at this stud told me that all his foals when born are handled straight away and also have there bottoms scratched, hence why Japser did this to me in the field. I have never come across any horse or foal that does this. The guy told me that none of his horses including the stallion they have at the stud kick because of this bottom scratching from an early age.
I came home and checked out my bank account as if I had the money I would have bought this little fella as he is just fantastic.
