[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
At the Butterfly Zoo in Symonds Yat my son found the free magnifying glasses and spent a happy morning looking at butterfly eggs, caterpillars and occasionally even a butterfly. The tears were many when we had to leave and he had to give it back....

PP work - adjusted levels, resized, 30% USM, added a border

Come on, Dad, don't be so miserable - go and buy him one of his own! I think they're a bit cheaper than your toy you used to take the photograph! :o)

A nice clear shot - perhaps you should have asked him to hold the magnifying glass a bit farther from his face so his eye looked HUGE.

Great candid shot.

Kind Regards,

John.

hello Mark,
this is funny and cute. I am sure Father Christmas can see his way to putting a magnifying glass in your son's Christmas stocking. Not sure he has enough magic to supply the butterflies though!

Very cute shot! Great pose & good looking son.

Hi Mark! Lovely image and concept. A bit OE on some parts and too much reflection on the glass. A polarizing filter would be helpful. I like his cute pose and I like the colors but you can still make it more vivid. I also like the focus and DOF.
TFS,
Freddie :)

I spy - a giant eye!!
Ha ha - sounds like a fun day :)
Nice shot full of character :)

I Spy is the title of a song i enjoyed form Pulp band!
Here it's more juvenile then the son :D
Natural as a kid could be! I like that presentation! It's present with a nice background behind.

Hello Mark
A grandson of Sherlock Holmes photographed by Watson!
Or was the kid watching the little bird coming out of lens?
A fine portrait and sweet expression.
Cheers.
Robert

i missed this on mark...so he is going to be a detective...or a botanist or whatever
good semi candid since its not really a portrait
kids always come up with the most appropriate expression for a shot..
cheers
geof
