[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Morning everyone,
Another posting from my Panasonic today. I do have lots of photos on my new Nikon but because I'm an idiot, I left it at a friend's house last night and won't get it back until Saturday.
This is my girlfriend, photographed on a walk around Wigmore in Herefordshire just after Christmas last year. I like this because it's very bleak and the only splash of colour in it is her purple jumper - everything else looks like it was shot in black and white! I like the mood it creates; it takes me straight back to that day.

Morning John

Great shot here, I agree with your notes on the B/W effect. Good lead in with the path and the hedges. Very desolate looking.

Nice work

TFS regards Helen

Hello John
Very interesting and moody picture. I like the high contrasts and the fact that, as you explain, it almost looks like a B&W. However, I would have preferred your girlfriend a tad more illuminated (not much, just a tad!), as to make her stand out a little more. As to the composition, I also think she's already a bit too close to the silhouette of the tree in the background. Just my personal opinion - hope you don't mind...
Good work anyway!
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

Hello John! Good picture!

Hi! Amazing composition. Cheers!

Nice one John, I like the perspective given by the hedges disappearing almost to a vanishing point. As Erik says, maybe just a little more light on Cam's jumper would have helped, possibly fill in flash might have done the trick?
Cheers, Dad

Hi John,

I like it a lot it really does have a bleak feel to it. I have done a workshop to the best of my abilities and tried to lighten Cams clothing, let me know what you think.

Cheers
Tom

Hi John,
Nice shot, certainly looks bleak, a bit like some of the places around here on dartmoor, I think the GF could do with being a little lighter like in the WS Tom did.
Tfs Andy
