[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Adult Starling (sturnus vulgaris) taking off from one of our feeders. Starling numbers in the UK have fallen by 66% over the last thirty years, mainly due to lost habitat caused by intensive farming. Although not the most pretty garden bird thay can be very entertaining to watch.

I have always been a particular fan of these birds - so cheeky - they are much misunderstood I think! Lovely detail on the birds back - did you crop the image? I would have tried to crop it to allow the bird more 'movement'.
