[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the roof of Canterbury Cathedral. I thought I would try a different view to the normal cathedral shots. This is a single exposure so there are bright lights and dark shadows but I quite liked the change in light from one side of the roof to the other.

It is not my usual type of posting but I hope you like it.

scott

i really like this and the unusual angle is quite mesmerizing.tfs

Hi Karan,

Unusual view, you have to look twice to get your bearings, I would like to try some hdr shots inside big cathedrals and retain detail in the stain glass windows. Nice photo, the 40D is a lovely camera.

Hi karan:
It may not be usual type, but you have captured it with perfection...

Hello Karan,
The point of view makes me dizzy, hehehe!
Amazing details in the interior, well done on exposure...
The golden colour tones are wonderful, it is easy to see this was (is) an important church during time of its building!

Wow, what a superb POV. Initially this looked more like complicated lacework than stone architecture. The golden tones are great as are the sharp details. Great stuff!

Hello Karan,an amazing shot; not a typical one from you,but you certainly came up trumps with this one!
The symmetry is wonderful.
The light and shadow works really well, there isn't a big difference between the two sides.
The orientation is excellent, imo, much more effective than if you had turned it through 90 degrees.
You must have laid on the floor to take this?
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Karan,
This is a superb artistic impression of the ceiling of the Canterbury Cathedral. Superb POV (were you lying on y'r back? :-) Anyway great brightness, contrast and colours.
