Another view of my chess computer, but this time at a lower angle.
As this shot was taken in colour, the white balance was preset manually using a white card - the light source being a desk-top lamp. The smallest aperture setting available on the lens was used to maximize field depth – pretty important for close range photography such as this, if you want as much of the image as possible to be in focus. |

Hello Robert
I like the vision of your battle
I like the position of the ready pieces for the attack!
beautiful color, wonderful shadows.
An excellent work, yours titles for this post,
she reminds me a music of Pat Benatar "Love Is A Battlefield." that I like a lot.
Congratulations!
Sérgio

Hi Robert
This is a very good idea well shot. Good depth of field. The King may be a bit too central. I like the light coming in from the right. Well done.

hi robert,
very nice capture here, well thought out and composed..
good mix of shadows and lights...great low down pov and a good note explaning the set-up...
maybe a glass or marble chess set would look better as the plastic pieces look flimsy...
very nice1...cheers...harry..
