Here's an unusual little image, A year ago, with my nephew and friend, I had a day trip to Blackpool, a seaside resort on the north west coast of England, it's a hugely popular place, millions of visitors go there each year.

One of the main attractions is what's called the Pleasure Beach, a large funfair with all the latest rides (plus some positively ancient ones), because I took the camera I had to skip some of the wetter rides, so, while Paul and Kris went on one of the wettest ones in the park I had a wander round, drawn to some very loud music I came across this odd attraction, a virtual reality theatre, it was hilarious to watch, the 'riders', I can't think of another name, were totally immersed in whatever it was that was going on in their 3D glasses and headphones, jumping up and down, waving from side to side, I snapped this in one of the quieter moments.

I've no idea what they were experiencing, but they certainly seemed to be having the time of their lives, one day I'll go back there, if only to experience the 'virtuality' for myself!

Oh my god, Mike, if this is the future, lets stop time... hehehe cool picture. Says something. The total absence of normal peoples focus is quite strange.

Mike, I love the variety of pictures you post. This is real funny. I'm still smiling! It's going on midnight here, so I'll now get off to sleep. Thanks...

I experienced that kind of things in Pavilion of Virtual Reality a few years ago in the Universal Exhibition in Lisbon and it was a travel in the depths of the ocean, it was great ...
Interesting shot and note, Mike !

Retro version of the sixties. hahaha. Well done.

Mike

Unusual photo Mike and quite disturbing in some ways.
I was last in Blackpool over 20 years ago and the Pleasure Beach had nothing like this then heehee

Love it ! How to have fun alone in a crowd, is that the future ?

Wonderful picture,
Marleen

Dear Mike, I like how you got those 3 different ways of experiencing in one picture. But quite strange without seeing their eyes. I like how users on TL also can educate what is going on in the world :) TFS. Yours, Jan
