Attention all 'Dipsticks'
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Prior to flight pilots have to check the oil quantity of the engine of the aircraft. It seems some people can't help over-tightening the dipstick when they replace it. Much to the consternation of the engineers who have the job of releasing it again, usually with a pair of pliers.
The oil cover of a Cessna 172, appropriately labelled by an engineer.

Hi Keith
this really brought a smile to my face on a boring dismal day in the office. Really well seen and shot
TFS regards Helen
Hi Keith,
LOL! Nice shot.
Lisa
by the way, I viewed your smugmug. Interesting photos.
Hi Keith,
I had to chuckle when I say this, as it made me think of all the times I had gone out to the plane to do pre flight checks only to find the dipstick very tight which sometimes I had to get my instructor to undo for me. Brought back some good memories as well.

This made my day - I'm always struggling to open the oil cover when I go flying...always too tight and it doesn't help that I'm on tippy toes just to see inside either! LOL. Awesome.
