| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This shot was taken a few minutes before sunset looking across Collingwood and Salisbury docks in Liverpool.
I apologise to all my TL friends for neglecting you all recently, as I have been going through a traumatic time in my life just lately. This picture just about captures my mood right now, as the sun goes down on one very happy chapter of my life. I will try to get back on track very soon and hope to look for another sunrise.
And now the customary details:
To the left of the frame is Jesse Hartley’s Victoria clock tower at Salisbury Dock’s River Gates (1847-8).
Just right of centre on the horizon is the tower of Wallasey Town Hall on the opposite bank of the Mersey, which has a commanding site at the top of a steep bank sweeping down to the river.
I have simply cropped and framed after slightly warming up the colour temperature, as the original shot was a little too melancholy for me. |

Hi Nigel, a lovely portailal of a sunset. Glad they're not all the same and that's why I like this one. Love the silhuoettes and the sun bursting to the left. A very nice tone in the sky. Thanks.

A beautiful evening moment has been captured in this frame. High amount of light to darker hues are looking exciting. Tower of the church on the horrizon is interesting. Well done Nigel.
