[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,

I returned after a day out, yesterday, to find that David (WhiteKnight) had suggested a 'Close Shave' for Friday's Theme. I couldn't help thinking that, perhaps, I had just the shot!!

At a time when the sheep on the local farms were being sheared, I saw this sheep slyly hiding in the horse's yard pretending to be a horse. The sheep was obviously trying its very hardest to avoid having a 'close shave'!

I hope you enjoyed the shot.
Please feel free to feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Hi Bev,
Nice choice for the theme, looks like the sheep is keeping a close eye on the gigantic looking horse standing next to him. I was hoping to get a shot of someone shearing a sheep, but it's the wrong time of year here unfortunately, lol. Very nice clarity with this shot, the POV is great too. Everything looks well exposed and clear.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Beverly,
Stunning composition , good using of light, perfect daily country life shot.
Eye catching frame also...

Hi Beverley

Shearing & animals was my first thought too. I looked at an image of partly shaven domesticated yaks in Mongolia, but decided they were too far away & image quality wasn't that sharp. Instead, I chose an image where I got out of Mexico just before sundown, & was straddling 2 countries, standing on the international border across the Rio Grande.

I like the juxtapositioning of the horse & sheep, & lol at the camouflage attempt, by the ovine subject!

I have a son that is doing everything possible to avoid a haircut too :) Two very contented friends. Excellent detail and color. TFS

Hi Beverley,

Good contribution to the theme, I like the humor in this. Nice daily life/farm scene, very sharp.

Regards,
Werner

Hi Beverley,it is unusual to see a horse and a sheep together in this way, well done for spotting the photo opportunity.
Good sharp quality and colour.
Tfs, regards Jean.

That's a beautiful shot, Beverly.
The light is wonderful, marvelous clear color, outstanding detail. It looks like a brilliantly done painting. A very amusing addition to the close shave theme, too. :)) I love this. Many thanks and warm regards,
Shelly

I don't know why it's so endearing to see different species of animals tolerating each others company - and "sharing" food - perhaps because it reminds us of what we value most about ourselves?

A photo opportunity well seized, with good light, detail, and solid composition. Titles in frames aren't my favourite, but the drop-shadow here is nice. ;)
