A lovely shot of my favorite butterfly, the Painted Lady for a photosession on the buddleia flower-floor :) The colors of the butterfly are so beautiful and so are the flowers. The sharpness and POV is well chosen. The DOF is fine too. Overall, a nice composition!

Hello Bev,
I know how difficult it is to photograph butterflies as they are rather fast moving. The composition is good, the image looks high key. I have not taken butterfly pics this summer. This inspires me to visit the butterfly farm this w/e. Regards...

It is a lovely butterfly and a beautiful photograph!
I notice the sought after silky-crisp texture in the wings, and the fine pattern is well reproduced...
A balanced composition, DoF spot on isolates the insect nicely!

this is nicely composed using a diagonal and triangle (graffer would notice the triangle).Attractive framing and I like how the painted Lady seems to be checking you out. I planted flowers to attract butterflies too.
