Stairwell in the Strand Street underground car park beneath Chevasse Park in the new Liverpool One development.
The car park is operated by the Dutch based company, Q-Park, and design was by BDP Liverpool.
I enjoyed the open, spacious feel of the structure, which makes you forget that you are beneath ground level. The sweeping curves of this stairwell are simply great fun, and show an unusual degree of imagination for something as utilitarian as a car park.

Slight adjustments to curves, crop, frame and re-size, all in PSP8. |

Hello Nigel,a good abstract nicely composed.
I would never have believed that you were underground unless you had said,there seems to be plenty of light.
Good lines with subtle colours.

Strong archictectural composition, with an excellent rendering of all these (almost womanly) curves...
I just would have preferred a black frame, to make the structural impact of the white tones in your photo visually more striking - just a detail.
