Just an ordinary Travel Lodge Hotel on the ring road in Norwich. I liked the way it was lit up at night however, and am quite pleased with how my new Nikon D200 has captured the different colour tones.
This was hand held at about 15th of a second, so some deep breathing and steady hands were required, and I'm quite surprised that there was no camera shake!
PP was minimal, just Levels, and about 25% increase in saturation. Also a small crop to adjust the uprights.
Feel free to let me know what you think! |

You have turned a Travelodge into a work of art, most impressive :-)
The shot is sharp with clear details and the vivid colours work very well. Nice one!
Hey Andy,
nice use of cross-over lighting (i.e. the "blue hour" ;-) !!)
It looks quite good for a hand held shot.
Nice colour complementaries between the blue and warm reds in the foreground.
Best regards,
Daniel
Superb Andy! The colors in this are awesome! Really super saturation, excellent clarity and sharpness! An outstanding shot!

Hi Andy, great colours in this and looking at the sharpness it's very hard to believe that this was hand held (not that i'm doubting you, lol)so 10/10 for that my friend. It's actually hard to believe that you can make a "Travelodge" look this good!
Well done Andy..
