Good evening Mark,
I must say that I find your image and note, especially the note, very intriguing, interesting, daring...but not offensive. It is hard to define what is offensive these days and just how far should the boundaries be pushed.
Each and every single person has their own concept of what is acceptable and what is not. I think that is partly influenced by our upbringing, education and also religious believes and party is influenced by the environment we live in. Boundaries are always hard to set in a way that would please everyone. There will always be people who will object to the way things are dealth with.
I believe that photography and also other forms of art must and should be used to push boundaries further and open our minds to new ideas and approaches. But then again...in what way sould they do it? In non offensive of course. And here we are again...running around in circles.
Since TL is site to learn, to get to know the world and people through photography, boundaries should be adjusted to that. And we can't learn, if we have bunch of strict rules that tie our hands and narrow our minds. But in our learning process we must adapt to other people as well, to their cultures and believes.
Yes, this is hard question to answer on...

Bonjour Mark,
Good job !

Hello Mark,
It is/was an interesting topic in the forum thread, but it seems like an issue that will never get resolved either here or elsewhere for that matter. There are too many factors and cultural differences.
I think that addressing it in this way, with this posting is very clever. Humorous, but then not in any way degrading to either side of the issue or to women.
Did you know Barbie just turned 50 last month...she still looks great.
Kind regards,
Jim

HAHA! I love your sense of humor Mark! What a question that has been presented to the masses on TL. Nudity, how much? how little? It's like this. How much air do we need?? some need more, some need less. It's almost impossible to legislate morality. Untimately it's up to Admin. Each site is self-governing. The movement belongs to the people. If you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen....or don't look at the pic. Admin will decide.
B-)
Love this one!

Well done Mark - an interesting way of furthering the discussion.
Personally I find TL a little bit too prime and proper but there isn't much chance of me taking risque shots - so who cares!
cheers

Hi Mark.
Well. I did not dare to say a word about it on the forum because it is a too sensitive subject and sensitive subjects are often hard to argue reasonably. But I like the way you express yourself about it. :) Very creative and imaginative. Bravo.
Best Regards

Your note have made my day. It speaks so much to me. It does even in day to day life too, we're bombarded with so many conflicting ideas and suggestions. Horror, war, rights and censorship. What's proper and who hold the truth. The "right" way to go about things, where is the middle, is there any, or just part of a huge utopia, call hope. Glad to "know you".

Sorry to see you go, Mark... at least you left a couple of pictures in your gallery. I like this one in particular, a nice idea (about a not so nice situation) which you have worked out very well.
