Hi Jon

Have not tried too many night shots myself but this does not look too bad, the most distracting sign is the "All Major Routes", you could probably have cloned this out.
Not sure if you could have changed your POV by moving slightly to the right, that way you might have positioned the wheel between the two roundabout signs and used a tighter crop.

Regards Derek

not bad shot here Jon but a tighter croped would have added to it just having the wheel would have been good but the road signs spoil it a little wonder where you got the text idea from but i like it

hello Jon,
I wish your wheel was more off centre so that it would be better balanced with your "wish you were here" message. I quite like that this is not a pretty pretty picture but shows this place traffic signs and all. For us of us that live out in the sticks, city lights can be quite exciting!
Bev

Hello Jon,

What a brave thing to do ... a night shot.
It has worked well to contrast the bright wheel with the night sky, and the receding line of street lights adds a understanding of the perspective.
I have to add what others have said before me - the wheel is just a little too central and the 'All Major Routes' sign tends to distract the eye from the focal point. Maybe a step to the right would have allowed you to get the l/h roundabout sign against a black b/g where it would have shown up better. These signs are a lovely extension of the idea of going 'round'.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

HI Jon
When taking night shots you aim, but are never quite sure of the results you are going to get.
A bit centered and a few road signs in the way? So what!. I am happy you got such good sharp results, You show us the location as it is. You did a great job.
Dot

This is a great second attemtp there! Nice work! I love the long crop here and the white border is nice for this postcard! I think if you use a higher Fstop... like 16 and let it go long exposure, your lights with have a "star" pattern on them and that is really cool!
Nice work Jon!
B-)
