[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am also currently posting a series of shots I took at York Minster on TrekEarth.

Taken from the Net:

York minster is the largest medieval gothic cathedral in Northern Europe.

Although earlier buildings existed prior to the present day cathedral dating back to the 7th century, building work started on the present structure around 1220 and was not fully completed until 1472.

The Minster's full name is the “Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St Peter in York”.

It is both a cathedral (where a Bishop has his 'seat') and a minster (from the Anglo Saxon word mynster - meaning a church built as a new centre for Christian worship).

hey, Stephen, good angle and lovely light on that beautiful building, thanx, M, (*_*)

Nice angle I like the sharpness and the details. Looks like a huge place.
