[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was more about luck than anything,I actualy got 5or 6 shots from the start of the accident till the end.It was taken at croft race track in the north of england and was a round of British Superbikes,Whilst the bikes were traveling towards me i knew from experience being a biker that one of these riders was not going to make the corner,and this was the result,Luckely both riders ok.

Right place, right time and used very well! The flying bits make for a great photograph. The colours seem a tad undersaturated, but judging from the lack of shadows, it must have been overcast. Was white balance setting shade or cloudy?

fellow biker, i appreciate this shot. Poor guy and poor bike (GSX-R ?)

It would be almost comical , if i didn't know how much that will hurt when landing :)

Techincally i like this shot,you have a lot a lot of a sense of movement in this, from the flying debris from the fairing to the grass that has been churned up in the air and of course, the unfortunate rider.

Glad to hear they were both o.k.

Wow ... the timing was everything here. Perfect. Poor sod - I'm glad he was ok. As a motorcyclist myself, I've had a few times I went rubber-side-up but never like this!

I had to laugh at your note, which begins, "This picture was more about luck......" !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which immediately reminded me of someone I knew who insisted that it was "lucky" when a bird shat on you! Hmmmmmm.

Laughter aside, you've certainly captured a spectacularly improbable aerobatic display - luckily - not heading towards you!

Excellent timing to capture this shot - goes to show the value of knowing the "habits" of your subject, be it animals, birds or crazy motor-cyclists!
