Hi Brian,

I think it will be hard to get a good pov of the minster and this one would be excellent if not for the houses in fg. The colours are great but the details could be sharper imho. The red brick of the houses takes your eye from the western towers which is a pity but as a hole the pic is good and deserves a smiley. TFS

Regards
Jon

Hi Bryan - indeed it's difficult to get a good shot of the Minster (what a beautiful and majestic building it is too), although you could scale the city walls if you're feeling energetic......
Nice saturation and I like the jumble of buildings in the FG, I do find the photo to be lacking in sharpness - with that camera and lens I have to say that the pic should be pin sharp (as DP like to call it)

Hope to see some more of this wonderful city..

David

lucky for you bry to see things like the this i am very fond of english medieval architecture
too. could be a bit sharper though, but i forgive you. T>Y> for your support. Janos

Hi Bryan, wondered where you had been, looks like you had great weather.

Must admit I quite like this one, even if the foreground is a bit cluttered. Nice detail in the sky.

But I'm on the same page as Jon and the others, the image just doesn't seem as sharp as it should be.

Maybe you need some new specs :-)

Peter

Hi, Brian,
that is such a magnificent cathedral and you chose a very good POV. Wonderful light and color and a fabulous blue sky to back it up. As others have mentioned, it could be a tad sharper so I've done a WS to see how it would look. Hope you don't mind. That's a beautiful shot. Many thanks and kindest regards,
Shelly

Lovely day for photographs Bryan with the blue sky and clouds. I used to live in Selby 20 miles down the road. I like York as a history. It has a nice blend of history and contemporary. Did you take this from the walls. It is a nice shot. I hope you dont mind but I tried a workshop. I hope you like.
Warm regards
David
