[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken recently on a week's break south of Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

This is the third year running I have been at this location and each year I have noticed the almost guaranteed beautiful sunsets over the sea in this county.

I took this shot on the first night, climbed over the 'STEEP CLIFFS - DANGER' sign and sat on the edge. Held camera very still to get lowish shutter speed and played with white balance settings and apertures.

Only PP work was slight reduction in noise and resize for TL.

On a sad note a few days later a 19 year old male fell/jumped to his death from this very point. Kind of dampened the mood for the end of the holiday watching the Coastguard helicopter recovering the body with my kids alongside me. When they found out I had been at this location taking photos in the almost dark they told me off !!.

Thanks for looking if you did,

Neil.

Hi Neil, i really like your POV here, with the coast stretching away into the background. You also capture some lovely evening colours too. My only suggestion would be to place the horizon eiether a third of the way up or down the image as i think it's a bit too central.
I also think a graduated filter over the sky would have given you more detail in the foreground and a more balanced exposure...but these are only suggestions! This is still i fine image and a pleasure to look at.
A sad story about the young guy who fell though.
Thanks for sharing this.
Paul
