The River Ouse in York, taken from the Scarborough Railway Bridge. The York University Rowing Club has their HQ nearby and the two boats are racing towards the finishing line in one of their many races.
The river Ouse meets the river Foss about half a mile from here, and as a result this part of the river is liable to flooding, and does so every few years. |

Hi Leslie,
Well, an interesting image of this river view. Those boats are a fine detail, but I like the panoramic view too. Both river banks are leading my eyes into the distance. The sky with those fluffy clouds creates a fine summer mood. A fine posting Leslie!

Hi Leslie,
Fine picture of this rower team, the weather was nice to do some sports and of course to take some photos. :) I like the exposition of the sky and clouds as well as the nice contrast and saturation this image has. Sharp, bright action photo, well done! TFS.
Greetings,
Kristof
Hello Leslie
Very well composed.

Hi Les,
Nice POV, you certainly timed it right. There's a rowing club across the road from me so this sight is very familiar. I really like the colours here, it all looks well exposed. To be picky, you cut off the lady's feet on the bottom right, but it's nothing too serious. Good job.
TFS,
Scott.
