As an exchange student in the University of Edinburgh, one of the many joys that I get to experience would be the fantastic weekend trips organised by the International Students Centre. This photo was taken on the way back from our trip to Lindisfarne, a wonderfully quaint little island famous for its religious history. St Aidan and St Cuthbert had both lived on the island.
In addition, Lindisfarne is also famous for sites like Lindisfarne Castle, its priory and also Lindisfarne Mead, a drink that has been called "the nectar of the gods". |
