Hello Everyone,

Since I will be out early Friday morning, I hope you won't mind if I post my themed shot today!

I actually didn't have a lot of choice in my archive to fit the theme and though this shot is not the best that I have ever taken, it does hold some of the best memories I have ever had! It was taken from the lovely island of Lindidfarne. The view is from the beach where huge rocks are littered near and far. In the distance is a view of the beautiful castle at Bamburgh, Northumberland.

My visit here was as the result of a holiday planned in secret by my husband and was a truly wonderful surprise! The weather was good, the accommodation fabulous and the visits were spectacular!

pp cropped, sharpened, added slight rainbow haze, added border and signed.

Many thanks for your visit.
Please feel free to offer feeback on any aspect of the shot. :-)

Lots of growth of some kind on that rock which gives it a sense of being okay in the day but perhaps a bit dangerous at night....very nice..

Very interesting formation, good composition too, as for the rainbow haze IMHO it does not add to the image. It reminds me of those old stained glass panes blue at the top, green and red at the bottom that some people thought it is cool to place in front of a BW TV set to make it look "coloured".

Tibi

Good morning Bev

Lovely shot Bev and really good framing that suits the view perfectly.

These are unusual rock formations Bev. The rainbow haze helps the water and sky, and I do like that effect on them. But the rocks do look a bit soft IMO, as if there is a haze over them.
Still nicely shown and the memories of that special holiday are more important

A nice shot Bev. Sometimes the photo is just so precious that one does not bother about techs. I see a tiny bit of a fringe around the rocks on my monitor which could be from a little bit over-sharpening but I am not sure. A beautiful view in any case and the rocks are interesting - looks as if they are put there by an artisan.
