Hi – Something different, I hope!
Using PS I intensified the colour of the model to strengthen the colours on the jewel. Created another layer which I converted to B and W then adjusted the contrast. Zooming in on the jewel I used the eraser tool to bring the colour of the jewel through.

Very interesting composition. Simple yet compelling. The use of black and white around the jewel does a great job of bringing it out as well as the texture of the skin and fingers. I would have preferred the bottom fingers not be cut off by the crop and slightly more symmetrical. Very good shot though, thanks for sharing.

Interesting shot. Selective desaturation/colouring works well to draw the eye into the centre of the picture, and as per comment from jawx I too would have like to have seen more symmentry in the shot.
