[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Its that time again, The horse needs re shoeing, again another set of pictures from the hot shoe that is carried out by the mobile farrier.

Created duplicate layer and desaturated, using the rubber I removed the portion of top layer I did not want exposing the cherry red of the horseshoe underneath.

Hope you like it

Nice Bri! First of all, I like the way you've composed the shot. And I really like the decision to desaturate, leaving the horseshoe red hot! Nice B&W tones through the rest of the shot.
Great shot.

Nice situation to use the effect and you've done the pp well - good work! I think the image would look good all in b/w as well. I like this shot, Bri....reminds me of the smiddy that I used to live near, in Peebles.

Hi Bri,

I really like this shot the desaturation of the shot with the red only showing is very effective by using layers it doesn't make it easier. I like the pov the motion blur of the hammer is a nice effect the b&w image has nice shades and tones well done.

Regards
Jon

Bonjour Brian

Good week-end

Hello, Brian.

A very nice photograph here with excellent processing work to desaturate all of the picture with the exception of that lovely cherry-red of the horseshoe.

From the point of view of composition, the horse-shoe sits near a "powerpoint" of the picture according to the Rule of Thirds which is supposed to be one of the major rules of composition.

Excellent!

Kind Regards,

John.

Masterclass! Truly amazing presentation and POV! Love the composition and the motion blur of the hammering hand...well executed and excellent result! TFS!

regards,

Dilshan
