I liked the texture of this door and had this idea of having my friend next to it, wearing this leather jacket. Having two different materials, both black, it seemed like a good idea at that moment.
I framed the picture, raised the contrast and the black as well, from the levels in PS.

The idea is good i think. The difrent structures are intresting. I'd cropp of the bottm a bit more though. To remove the pants. Contrast i good i think, a bit over exposed mabye but it works in this shot. Well done.
I agree that some cropping could be nice for this photo. Maybe cropping it at the bent arm's elbow would be a good spot. I like that you had the subject tilt his head. It keeps the photo from being too balanced. Also great idea to place his head in the "box".
Black on Black - I like this idea, as it give the image a very sensuous feel. I think his face is a little overexposed though. Maybe he could have tilted his head forward a touch. Anyway, I like the idea of black leather against the black wooden door. Well done.

Very good portrait. You've chosen a very good BG and his posed "attitude" is very good. Tis is a work of a professional.
It's tough not to overexpose the face with all that black but you did a good job! ... This photo would work as a B&W as well.
