[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,

Well first off, it won't take a genius to spot that this photo is a million miles from my usual style (ignoring my pont du Normandie post ;p).

I was actually pretty close to deleting it because it was very grey and dreary (GRRR english winters) but tried to do something to improve it in photoShop.

PP- I exported two exposures from RawShooter and combined them in PhotoShop with a gradient mask. I had to straighten the photo a bit too. Then I cropped, adjusted levels, boosted saturation, and applied some USM.

PS- Sorry, I don't seem to have the exif data anymore. Chances are it was about f5.6 iso 200 and around 40th sec.

Hi Jako

I'm surprised with 20 views there aren't more points awarded. I think your PP work was very effective here with strong vibrant colors.

I like this "grey and dreary" (as you say it) mood in this photo. Fine composition with simple foreground free of any object and rich background.
