Hi Everyone. I have been experimenting with software to make High Dynamic Range (HDR) images. The one software package, Redynamix, has black and white and sepia filters. I was impressed with one of the sepia filters and thought I would share the results with you.

I set off 2 hours ago hoping to edit a stunningly modern, highly fashionable HDR image. I end up posting an image that was fashionable in the 1800's. Oh well such is life ;~)

Regards Phil.

Glad to see you again !
Wonderful "tired" tones in this beautiful compo.

thanks,
v
ps.Sorry, I've switched off the points

A very nice, well balanced image and it certainly has an "olde world" feel to it - perhaps that could even be enhanced with some vignetting? The reflection works well here and i do like the slight ripple in the water. Good photo.

Hi Philip,

very good composition, great reflection of water, nice colour profile.

cheers
Adrian

I'm not too fond of sepia in general, Philip... and this is no exception, I'm afraid. I think there's a wee bit too little yellow in the toning. I'm looking on a not-too-good laptop screen, so I'll check again later on.
Anyway, that's just my idea. As far as composition, scenery and reflection are concerned, I really like it. But... would have loved to see the colour version ;o).

Hi Philip.

Nice picture here. The sepia effect is really good in this picture and gives a older feel to the image. Also I like the reflection of the tower

Good job!

Blair.

P.S. Thought I would edit my original comment!

Hi Philip,
I like this, a very peaceful scene which is well suited to the sepia presentation. Great composition, especially the reflection.
Cheers, John.

hi Philip

The composition of this view is superb with such fine reflection and well captured cathedral. The still calm water really gives a good FG. Nicely converted tone.
