[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Brighton is a strange place, colourful, bustling and unlike any other town in the UK.

Brighton has a substantial Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual community, served by a high number of "scene" shops, bars and night-clubs, in addition to a range of support organisations. It is often referred to as "the gay capital of Britain".

Brighton hosts a Gay Pride carnival every August, which attracts thousands of participants and spectators. It consists of a carnival style parade through the city and a party and funfair in Preston Park.
Whilst travelling around the laines (yes, it is spelt correctly) I kept noticing the huge amount of shoes that had been thrown over the telephone wires. I just thought that this pink pair summed up Brighton. Oh, I added the balloon.

Michael,
Very nice I love the bubble gum pink against the very blue sky.... and the way you have the shoes on the wire diagonally is just perfect ! The balloon in pp really adds to your photo

Great capture, it reminds me of the scene in Tim Burton's film "Big Fish". It is also a very good photo to sum up Brighton. The balloon adds the extra camp touch. Excellent composition with the line bisecting the diagonal

Great composition in pink, great composition with the line starting in the left lower corner, give a nice lead to the ocject (shoes). The added ballon is the finishing touch. Well done my friend!

What is it with the shoes and the power lines?? We have that here in America!! I can't ever figure out what the deal is?? HAHAHA! this is REALLY funny Michael! Nice pinks and blues!

Mike.. hello. Wonderful exposure here in this one. The light is beautiful. What I really like is the diagonal. I also love the warm feeling that the blue sky gives. Nicely done on PP & thanks for sharing.
