[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi,
This was taken on Sunday in Brighton, the sun was awful, no matter where I positioned myself there was too much glare. I decided to take a few images where the sun was blocked out and the old pier was silhouetted, not sure how it has worked. Any critics or comments welcome.
Cheers
Marc

Hi Mark,
i've recently posted a shot of Boscombe Pier, a bit further down the coast from here though but it's interesting to compare the two as we've both used the same lens. I am going to post another later on today hopefully.
This is great though, you've used the wide angle to full effect and the choice of POV is perfect. Great sky too, love those clouds that add some detail to that deep blue..great work, well done!

the sky is wonderfull. very nice composition

Even if white is a bit burnt, you found the right POV to underline the size of it. Well done!

Well you found the right spot to create this wonderful image Marc, the pier takes on an almost abstract feel, the low angle extenuates the pier against that beautiful sky .. a well though out shot

I can see you had problems with the sun but you got this one nicely and it is a very interesting composition.
