I was meeting a friend for lunch in Chichester and s I was an hour early to meet her I wandered into Chichester Cathedral. The lovely ladies who look after the Cathedral said I could take photos so I took a few shots. I'm not used to taking interior shots so I found the light quite challenging.

Taken using the Sigma 10-20mm lens at F22

------------------------------------------------------
The history of Chichester Cathedral begins in 681 when Saint Wilfred brought Christianity to Sussex and established a Cathedral in Selsey, a small community south of Chichester. After 1066 the Norman policy was that cathedrals should be moved from small communities to larger centres of population. In 1075 the Council of London established the See of Chichester and in 1076 the building of the present cathedral in Chichester was begun under Bishop Stigand. It was completed under Bishop Luffa in time for its consecration to the Holy Trinity in 1108.

Hi Karan,
An excellent capture of this cathedral my dear. Great brightness, no OE (except from the window on the top left side)nor UE. The image appears a bit tilde to the right and also a pity of the disturbing electrical wire behind the desk. Nevertheless a fine posting Karan!

Hi Karan,
I think you did a great job with the lighting; I like the bit of OE area in front of the podium, and at the window upper left. The little "star" (what do you call that?) at the right-center of the shot is a bonus, and you've captured the warm glow of the smaller lamps.
Bravo,
Karen

Hola Karan,
magnífica vista interior,
detalles aquitectónicos y iluminación...
tu sigma 10-20 excelente, saludos

Hello Karan.

This is a very beautiful picture of a very beautiful place. You have given us a very interesting and informative note too.

My only criticisms are that it is not quite straight and also that that electric cable and plug on the lectern are a bit distracting. I have done a little workshop for you - I hope you're not offended - see what you think.

Thank you again for sharing this one.

Kind Regards,

John.

P.S. I'm thinking of getting a wide-angle zoom - do you recommend the Sigma? The Canon lens looks good but it is almost twice the price!

bonsoir Karan
tres beaux coloris, belle luminosité, bien vu, merci a toi
