[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was a miserable day today, rainy and windy, but I decided to go for a walk on the hills and thoroughly enjoyed myself. On my walk I passed these windmills. They are called Jack and Jill after the nursery rhyme:

"Jack and Jill went up the hill
to fetch a pail of water
Jack fell down and broke his crown
and Jill came tumbling after"

Jill is still a working mill and you can visit the windmill on Sundays for a look around. You can also buy flour direct from this windmill

Jill is the white Post Mill in the foreground. Jack is the black mill in the background and is privately owned so it can't be visited.

Bonjour,
Belle utilisation du noir et blanc.
Bonne journée.

Hi Karan,
Beautiful compo that works well in BW. I like the contrast of the windmills against the background increasing their details. Conditions of that dull day are well shown here too.
Well done,
Salvu.

Well done, Karan! Great composition. Thanks for sharing!

i love windmill photos...don't know why :P
the darker more dramatic composition here is very original for a windmill photo, most i see here on TL are bright colorful and happy :)
