[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Morning all,
I'm rapidly running out of photos to upload as my computer at home is misbehaving, so this is another of my experimental long exposure motorway shots. Taken on a tripod from the motorway bridge at Junction 7 of the M5 on my way home from work one night.
I tried to frame it using the row of lamp posts on the right, but the horizon is slightly off as a result. I still like it though.
Cheers, John.

Hiya John

Great shot, I love this, not a nightime one as is the norm with this style so the blue sky is visible giving added interest. Framing with the lampost is cool. No rule saying horisons have to be straight and what a riot of light and colour. Good work my friend.

TFS regards Helen

Morning John,

Really nice, much better than the last motorway shot (although I did like it) As Helen said its nice to see all the colours of near daytime on this usually night time style. The horizon does not matter a jot as the hills are not straight anyway!

Cheers
Tom

Hi John
Good clear image. The motorway looks so clean. You did well to achieve this given how busy I remember the M5 is. Good exposure, good POV, good DOF. Well done.

TFS, Martyn

Hi John,
Nice shot,
10 seconds of M5 madness, Nice colours, sharpness and detail here and the lighting is great, in this case I don't think the horizon is an issue like if it was a seascape.
I have never tried this type of shot but maybe I will give it a go on the other end of the M5.
Tfs Andy

Hi John, an interesting photo, have you any idea what caused the discontinuity and momentory change of direction in the tail lights in the centre lane? I like these long exposure shots and will be posting some when my camera finally arrives, KLM lost my baggage including the camera - again....! As Helen says, I don't think the horizon matters, if it was straight the lamp posts would be off the vertical so something has to give, in this case the lamp posts are more imporantant than the horizon.
Cheers, Dad

Hi John, this is a much better exposure than the "Monmouth" one.
Again, very good composition - nice 'blue-hour' capture.

Best regards, Daniel
