[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I noticed this small stained glass window when visiting Worcester Cathedral. It depicts King Edward I kneeling in prayer.

This Angevin king was also known as "Longshanks" since he was noticeably tall compared with most people at that time. He reigned from 1272 to 1307, ascending the throne of England on 20 November 1272 after the death of his father, King Henry III. His mother was queen consort Eleanor of Provence.

Curiously, despite him being known as Edward I, he was in fact the fourth chronological "Edward" to have reigned, having following Edward the Elder, Edward the Martyr, and Edward the Confessor. TFR.

A lovely contribution to the theme with this superb photo of a stained glass window of such historiacal interest. The colours are vivid, the crop and presentation very good and the light excellent. TFS
