~ Street Art – Wall Mosaic ~

For this weeks Friday theme I have posted a photo of a wall mosaic I saw in the United Kingdom last year.

To appreciate the full effect of this mosaic you should save the photo image and shrink it on your screen, this will bring the individual coloured bricks (making up the mosaic) closer together and so intensifies the mosaic image which is a person’s face. Alternatively, when viewed as an icon on your desktop you can clearly see the mosaic face in this photo.

This vertical mosaic is an unusual yet appealing style of “Street Art”.

As a workshop I have also posted a B&W conversion for you of this mosaic face.

Hi Martyn,
That's awesome!! Very well thought out, looks impressive. It does indeed look better shrunk as you mentioned in your note. The bricked wall really suits this photo and keeps the tiled effect flowing. Nicely cropped.

Nice one for the theme Martyn, if you squint, the face takes on a real 3D look.
