[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is American Independence Day

I took this photo on the same day as the previous portrait uploaded a few days ago. This chap is representing an American General. I can't think which one !!

I have just cropped slightly and resized for uploading.

Very good portrait

Hi Mike,

Looks like a nice event to attend. Nice photo of this general. Perhaps, He's General George S. Patton? If you've never heard his famous speech, you should try and find it.

I really like the effect of the sun on your subject. Very nice portrait, good close crop showing metals, etc...

thanks for sharing, Lisa

Hello, Mike.

A fine picture, though to me he looks more akin to Ike than Patton.

Anyway, a great portrait, sharp and clear and well taken with your long lens.

Excellent!

Best Wishes,

John.

hi mike.
i'm not as old as lisa or john (?)
so i have no idea who it might be. all i know is that it is a nice pic.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Brian
