[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at the "Essex Show" last year.

For those unfamiliar with the UK county shows, they are an opportunity for all types of businesses and individuals from the county concerned to strut their stuff.

The Essex show is usually huge with several hundred exhibits and shows going on over the May Bank Holiday weekend - everything from steam engine rallies to falconry.

This chap had just finished cleaning and preparing his machine and was just about to eat the sandwiches wrapped in the foil packet in his hands. He seemed well pleased with his work and was very happy to have his portrait taken.

Techy stuff:
* Converted from NEF (RAW) using Nikon Capture NX
* Converted to B&W (colours were vibrant and a bit distracting)
* Cropped to suit format
* Darkened sky using U-point
* Reduced contrast a fraction
* Applied USM

Hi Paul..nicely composed shot.good work on the black and white tones..

Roger

Very impressive effort here Paul. We can tell he is very proud of his machine and enjoys the hobby. Turning the image to B & W adds interest to his face. You have included just enough of the machine to peek our interest. Bravo

Great inclusion in the D 300 theme.

Dan
