It's raining here, so I thought a bit of bight colour was the order of the day..........this is a close up/macro of a thistle, Cirsium vulgara.......

Shot at ISO 100, Shutter, 1/25s, f/18.
Fill flash used, PP required was cropping, sizing, slight sharpen. Manual focus (I never use auto),shot in RAW (as always) Minimal PP.

Great macro detail of the bonnie thistle.
Love the pollen (at least I think its pollen) on the tips of the flower.
