Flyte, my friend Jackie's dog in an agility competition, in the weaving poles or weavers as they are sometimes called.
The dogs really like the weavers and it is amazing how quickly they can zig and zag. Flyte is so focused here.

Hi Joni, you've caught the action well here. Nice narrow DOF, dog's in a good position.
Not so sure about the frame though..
Regards
David

Joni,

Perfect timing!! Is that a smile on his face? I certainly think it is. What a terrific shot of him rounding the corner of the poles. I like the position of him in the photo, the blue and white of the poles. Everything just grabbed me in the gallery to take a closer look! I would omit the gray portion of your frame. I don't care for the gray against the green grass. (my personal opinion...:D)

Give the dog a pat on the head for me! Lisa

Bonjour,
very beautiful POV, sharpness, colours, fineness of detail, movement of action, superb DOF. Congratulations, it's my opinion, what you could do more perfect.
TFS, regards
Corinne

I love agility and I'm glad to say that my Dingo loved the weave too, Joni ;o) Excellent action photography as the dog is razor sharp, but also the compo is quite good with the weave poles in a diagonal. Nice & subtle PP work, it all looks natural to me.

Hello Joni,

Clever dog, seems like he has full control and enjoys it all!
Good action photograph, and do you know what they say about sports photography?
- Go as close as you dare, then go a bit closer!
Well framed, fine details...

Hello Joni
Your camera of the early days of digital photography did a great job by freezing the hearty dog!
Your judicious square cropping placed the head of subject on a sweet spot for an attractive disposition.
Very appealing action shot,
Best regards.
Robert

Hello Joni
Vachon sounds like a French name. We have many Vachons around here in Québec.
Your photo is very interesting for the action . We can almost see the dog weaving through the poles. I also like the point of view you chose, aligning the poles in a diagonal pattern if I look down to the grass. The background is also interesting but the thing I like best is the determination we see in the eyes of the subject.
Bravo
Serge

A great action shot, the dog is so sharp it feels like you could reach out and touch him.
A good composition of the poles, and good dof showing off what the other obstacles to be conquered.
