Northern Lights - St John's Point

I was expecting to create some motion in the sea with this long exposure but it was quite calm. I was surprised however that that sky turned out the way it did and I rather like to be honest. The foreground rock pretty much matched the colour of the lighthouse which was another surprise. Probably not to everyone's taste but its a different look and technique.

Thanks for looking..

Hi Stephen.
Absolutely amazing colours and sharpness. Composition is breathtaking and the sky came out really dynamic. For me the water is an eye-catcher here. How long was the exposition?

Hi Stephen

Nice composition with good low POV, excellent colours and sharpness.
I like the effect of the clouds and sea from the long exposure.

Hi Steve,
Love the effect of the cloudss. It almost looks like a halo is positioned around the lighthouse. I also like the monotone colors of the rock and how the lighter color tones seem to pop out of the composition.
it could be me, but it looks like the lighthouse is slightly tilted to the right.

Great long exposure
nice saturated colors and sharp details

Great POV. I love the tones of both the sky and the foreground. Never mind the slight tilt of the lighthouse, some folks are clueless on the effects of ultra wide lenses ;)

You have some wonderful pictures however Im a bit disappointed there is so little information regarding your camera settings eg you talk about a long exposure but I dont see how long it actually was. As a learner this information would have been welcomed.
However gripes aside, great work.
Warm regards David
