Hello,
a view from below on watchtower situated at the end of big breakwater in St. Catherine's Bay. Great sunny day with interesting clouds on the sky and very strong sunlight. One of my day's off during stay in this beautiful place.
Some interesting informations for the fish hunters:
One of the most famous shore marks in Jersey, the breakwater has produced specimens and British record fish of several species.
The vast length of the structure means that it can accommodate many anglers on both the front and back wall, but there are specific hot spots, depending on the species targeted.
The very end is popular with locals who feather for the summer mackerel, but also produces some huge undulate and blonde ray. The slip at the start of the breakwater is renowned for its quality bass fishing. Because of the strong tidal run that affects the mark, most fishing is done during the slack water periods that precede and follow high and low water.
Thanks for watching,
any comments and criticques welcome.
cheers! |
